Good Cards Gone Bad

Good Cards Gone Bad website on desktop, tablet and mobile

 The Client

Good Cards Gone Bad: Twisted Cards for Twisted People (click here for a closer view) is the project of photographer Kaos Beauty Klinik. He creates tantalizing, twisted images of intricate tattoos, mysterious women, and ghostly landscapes. Much of his work is R-rated and frankly erotic. The elegant, eclectic images are printed on high quality photographic stock, then attached with photo corners to deckle-edged cards.

The Challenge

Good Cards Gone Bad needed a responsive e-commerce website (no longer active, unfortunately) that would allow the photographer to sell his handcrafted cards on all platforms. He wanted a site that was elegant and sensuous, and allowed for both his mainstream and R-rated work. In addition, he wanted to incorporate a blog as part of his marketing plan. He was wary about approaching a ‘vanilla’ designer, but knew there was a market for his work in the kink world.

The Solution

I customized a WordPress theme to add e-commerce capability and special type styling. Working with the photographer, I wrote the text on the site, highlighting the erotic portraiture and eerie landscapes. I also hired and managed a developer to add some specific elements of code. Click here for a closer view.

Sales for this new venture totaled more than 200 cards for the first six months of 2020.
