Kinky and queer: BDSM in the LGBTQ community
Here’s one North Carolina woman’s take on what it means to be queer and kinky. I’m basically with her on this. In my experience, I’ve found a lot of acceptance at the intersection of the BDSM and queer worlds, and a fair amount of judgement from either side.

NSFW King of Kink: A John Sutcliffe / ‘Atomage’ Retrospective Photo Essay

Founded by British clothing designer John Sutcliffe as an offshoot of his Atomage fetish clothing label (which was way before its time), the ‘Atomage’ magazine was published in an A5 format between 1972-1980. It focused on PVC and rubber fetishism, which helped push this kinky subculture forward and gave the community a magazine they could call their own. ‘Atomage Bondage’ and ‘Atomage Rubber’ became sister zines to ‘Atomize.’
